Investing in Futures: Scholarships for Students of All Ages

Since awarding the first Olive & Herbert Randall Scholarship in 1954, the Hamilton Community Foundation has given millions in scholarships to thousands of area students.

Today, the Hamilton Community Foundation and our affliates in Ross and Fairfield, manages an even larger and exciting scholarship program for:

- Graduating high school seniors attending high schools in Butler County and the greater Hamilton, Ohio area with a focus on: Stephen T. Badin, Edgewood, Fairfield, Hamilton, New Miami, Ross, Talawanda, and Lakota
  - Home educated students from these high school districts are also eligible for one scholarship
- Full-time students already attending college that attended Hamilton area high schools
- Adults returning to college who are residents of Hamilton, Ohio.
- Talent Attraction Program Scholarships for college graduates.

The Westerbeck Brothers at Eli's Sports Bar & Grill

A Local Connection

If you ask Dave Westerbeck, it was Buddy LaRosa’s “Athlete of the Week” column that first sparked the idea. “It always stuck with me,” Dave said. “Recognizing student-athletes for their discipline and determination—that’s the kind of impact we wanted to make.”

After dreaming about starting a scholarship, Dave and his brothers—Steve and Mike—made it happen. As co-owners of Eli’s Sports Bar & Grill, the Westerbeck brothers have always found ways to give back to the communities they serve. Now, with help from the Ross Community Foundation, they’ve now created the Eli’s Sports Bar & Grill Scholarship, a new way to support local student-athletes long after the final whistle blows.
